Superyacht Concept: BENETTI and ROMERO Introduce “SE77ANTASETTE”

Recently, Italian Shipyard, Benetti has seized the moment by unveiling an ultramodern 77 metre concept, dubbed the SE77ANTASETTE.  The result is a rather daring concept, which pushes boundaries in an ever evolving industry.  Designed by Mexican Civil Architect and designer, Fernando Romero, the SE77 stands out in multiple dimensions, most notably being the yacht’s ability to adapt to changing needs of guests on-board.

In Romero’s perspective, Benetti has grasped the power of technology that paved the way for the shipyard to generate a completely unique yachting experience. This is directly shown in the concept’s proposed systems of navigation and propulsion, where Benetti’s talented engineers in cooperation with experts in aerospace and marine fields, discovered a new way to hide the navigation equipment inside a glass dome, without affecting the balance of the yacht or compromising on safety.

Vincenzo Poerio, Benetti’s CEO who is extremely satisfied by this new, extraordinary concept, sees this project as a special outcome of a “perfect union” between two dissimilar worlds: yachting and civil architecture.

SE77ANTASETTE combines all of the thrilling products that Benetti has ever produced, boosting the act of yacht design to a new level of luxury and modernity. Benetti and Romero have broken some traditional rules to create an unrivaled concept, which is like nothing else. At 77 metres long, it diminishes the traditional concept of the yacht, and portrays an elegant design that draws  inspiration from the marine habitat, generating harmonious connections between the design, decks, and surrounding environment.

Designed to offer a seamless blend of comfort and usability. Guests on-board will find the ultimate tranquility and serenity, where tremendous amenities include:  multiple swimming pools, massage rooms, a gym and unrivaled office space.

The heart of SE77ANTASETTE is a revolutionary central area. It can be adjusted according to the guest’s desires, making it perfect for multitasking. For example, the salon can be fully transformed into an open dining area for breakfast with family, screening room, theatre, or a dance floor with a strobe light disco ball in the middle and a DJ station for partying and having fun.

Located on the upper deck is the yacht’s most intimate area, the observatory, which features 8.5 metre glass panels, that have undergone the most rigorous stress testing.  Air conditioning ducts have been added to consistently monitor temperature and humidity to ensure a pleasurable experience.  Though, the observatory’s most remarkable feature is the augmented reality screen displayable via the dome.  Not much for virtual reality?  Then take advantage of the domes position to enjoy the view of the starry light sky during the night.

Superyacht Concept: BENETTI and ROMERO Introduce "SE77ANTASETTE"

The owner’s 100 square metre apartment aboard SE77 is equally as grand as other internal spaces aboard, located forward on the main deck the stateroom also offers an additional 140 sqm external space, which serves as a perfect private escape from the rest of the yacht.  Located within the apartment are plans for an office, custom wooden bed, and elegant sitting area.  The over-sized marble bathroom allows for perfect vistas of the vessels ever changing views.  The outdoor area also allows for convenient access to the helipad which can be converted into a 1.5 metre deep plunge pool in just a moments notice.

Superyacht Concept: BENETTI and ROMERO Introduce "SE77ANTASETTE"

Moving down to the lower deck guests will come across two VIP staterooms and four guest cabins, allowing accommodation for a total of 12 guests.  The VIP staterooms offer walk-in closets, his and hers bathrooms, and full glass panels which open to reveal a private terrace.  The guest cabins which are located toward the ship’s centre are also surrounded by glass panels to reveal a harmonious balance with the aquatic environment.  Crew accommodation for 19 is also located on the lower deck.

SE77 is remarkably wide at 14.20 metres; and will contain 5 variable speed Caterpillar generators, two twin counter-rotating screws pods (1700kw each), and be powered by permanent magnet motors.  Benefits of the variable speed generators will include space saving, increased efficiency, and all around lower emissions.  SE77’s propulsion systems will offer a top speed of 16 knots and a 5,000 mile range at 12 knots.

Benetti’s M/Y Seasense set to debut at the Monaco Yacht Show

Set for debut at this year’s highly anticipated Monaco Yacht Show (September 27 to 30) is the awe inspiring Seasense.  Custom built by Benetti and launched earlier this year, Seasense features a wide array of unique features; which include an indoor/outdoor veranda located on the maindeck, as well as most notably the all new Benetti Beach Concept.  The interior decor of Seasense is characterized by a plush use of elegant colour seamlessly blended with over one hundred luxurious materials.

The 67-meter vessel was just delivered to her owner in July.  Constructed at Benetti’s Livorno yard, Seasense is built from a traditional steel hull and aluminum superstructure.  Exterior design was completed by the famed Cor D. Rover; pioneering his definition of the “Benetti Beach Concept”.  Unique elements of design include high vertical windows and a 10 by 4 meter swimming pool located on the main-deck, that can be converted via a carbon fiber & teak plank cover into a basketball court.

A prominet design element aboard Seasense, is the following blend that makes up both interior and exterior living space.  As such, the main-deck provides guests with an indoor outdoor living space with a dinning area for a dozen, working as a bridge to connect the intimate TV Lounge to the opulent outdoor lounge through a pair of large sliding glass doors.  In addition, floor to ceiling windows provide a medium to captivating 360 degree views when at sea.

Moving forward from the TV Lounge is the reception lobby, which features a prominent grey Antartide Marble spiral staircase with unique lighting and blue wood accents.  On the right hand side is an oversized VIP stateroom; and further forward is the “owners’ apartment” offering expansive areas including a sitting area, two walk-in wardrobes, marble ensuite, and a custom 2.7 by 2.2 meter chandelier/sculpture specially commissioned by Seasense’s art collector owners.  An additionally, inherently unique feature of the yacht are three meter high ceilings throughout her interior.  Traveling down the grand stairwell from the lobby you will find four guest staterooms as well as a garage in the yacht’s centre, which houses a limo tender designed by Giorgio Cassetta.

Making our way to up the staircase of Seasense, we find a more formal salon along with the standard bridge and captain’s cabin located on the upper deck.  The formal salon is an area split into both a sitting area and small study.  Stepping out unto the aft outdoor area, we find a myriad array of sofas and sun loungers along with a dinning space for 12.  The sundeck is significant particularly into the relation of the yachts size.  Offering a fully equipped gym, casual living area, a fully equipped ‘American’ bar, and a wood burning pizza oven.

The plush interior of Seasense was designed and crafted by ‘Area’ in coordination with Benetti’s own in-house design team to create an interior that reflects the “sense of the sea.” Multiple blue design hues are abundant throughout the yacht’s interior spaces, which are capable of accommodating up to twelve guests in the utmost of style and luxury.  Four varieties of wood are noticeable throughout her staterooms in addition to unique blends of marble and carpet floors throughout.

Seasense has a maximum range of 5,000 nautical miles at a crushing speed of 12 knots powered by a pair of Caterpillar engines (1,380 kW each), which are capable of propelling the yacht to a top speed of 15.5 knots.

Azimut Yachts Adds Four New Models

Azimut Yachts have announced four new models that have entered their range, which include the Azimut Grande 35METRI, Azimut Grande 27METRI, Azimut S7 and Azimut 60 Flybridge that will debut at international boat shows in the Fall of 2017.

With expert design by long time Azimut & Benetti Yacht Architect, Stefano Righini, who has made these four new models truly ground breaking examples of cutting edge design.  The Azimut Grande 35METRI & 27METRI are new additions to the Grand Collection, with standout features that include extensive use of carbon fibre to make for additional space, speed, increased stability, and decreased weight.

The Grande 27METRI benefits from a wide body allowing for unparalleled on board spaces within it’s class.  Stand out features among the yacht’s layout is a full beam master stateroom located on the main deck, as well as a lower deck that is customizable to offer either three or four guest cabins.  Interior design has been completed by Achille Salvagni, who has been featured as one of the top designers in the AD Collector’s top 100 by Elle Decor.  Achille Salvagni is well regarded for contemporary interior design with motif inspiration from the not so modern Italian Renaissance, allowing for an unrivaled warm interpretation.

Moving unto the Grande 35METRI, we learn that this new model is the flagship to Azimut’s Grand Collection.  The yacht has a wide body like the 27METRI, yet also features a sleek raised pilot house, floor to ceiling windows, a spacious sundeck, as well as a balcony off of the owner’s stateroom that extends over the water.  In addition, the 35METRI includes a miniature deployable beach club at the stern.  Interior design on this model is also completed by Achille Salvagni.

Brilliantly sculpted by Stefano Righini, is the very sleek Azimut 60 Flybridge.  The Azimut 60 offers a range of innovative solutions, which include full height windows, aggressive lines, a well portioned flybridge, and various private lounge areas.  On the Azimut 60, Achille Salvagni worked with three unique varieties of wood in collaboration with sleek steel & brass to allow for a modern, warm, and elegant italian flare throughout.

New to Azimut’s sport collection is the 21 meter S7, offering the epitome of an uncompromising blend of design and performance.  The blend of carbon in the S7’s superstructure allows for an increase in volume without compromising the yacht’s performance.  “Fast, silent and extremely manoeuvrable” is how Azimut describes the S7, offering segment leading space including four cabins and a garage that can house two water toys.  Interior design on the S7 has been carried out by Francesco Guida.

These four new models will make their debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival, this September (12th-17th), in which Azimut will have 19 of their yachts displayed.  Azimut will also have a special lounge at the festival where owners of Azimut Grande models can enjoy special hospitality as part of the Azimut Dolce Vita 3.0 lifestyle.  Azimut will be promoting seven models under 72 feet at the Genoa Boat Show from September 21st through the 26th.  From the 27th to the 30th, Azimut will also be returning to the Monaco Yacht Show to display the Grande 35METRI and the Grande 30METRI.  For the final stop of Azimut’s Fall tour, the shipyard will visit the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show from November 1st to the 5th to introduce their four new models to the American market.  Azimut will also be hosting a lounge for Azimut Grande owners at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.  Azimut has more debuts to come for 2018 at the Boot Dusseldorf in January.  For the promotion of yachts over 72 feet, Azimut will be at the Versilia Rendez-Vous this coming Spring, set to be held from May 10th through the 13th of 2018.

Marco Ferrari’s F65 Superyacht Concept

Marco Ferrari’s extraordinary new F65 superyacht concept will be the perfect yacht for anyone who appreciates being immersed in radiant sunlight and enjoys watching unobstructed views of the tranquil ocean current.  The 65-metre displacement yacht was designed with the full intention of flawlessly alternating between the indoors and open-air areas to intensify its grand 360-degree views of the open sea.

The layout of the outdoor amenities aboard F65 include a bar & lounge area, a seaside dining area, an infinity pool, and a beach club.  In addition, the yacht concept also features a helipad on the upper deck, which can transition into a sunbathing station.  As for those who would rather stay indoors to exercise or relax in leisure, they can enter the sundeck’s encircled gym and massage room.  The main saloon presents adjustable balconies that can fold or unfold to offer uninterrupted water views along with alfresco dining spaces.

The interior of the yacht boasts six extended cabins that can accommodate up to 12 guests.  A spacious VIP suite as well as two guest cabins can be found on the main deck.  Another VIP suite is located on the upper level, and a guest cabin positioned on the lower deck has the potential to be remodeled into a movie theater.  While the owner’s apartment on the main deck features a full-beam master suite that includes a dressing room, an en-suite bathroom, a lounge area, and a balcony offering a breathtaking panoramic view of the ocean.  Marco Ferrari’s new F65 superyacht concept will be able to achieve a cruising speed of 15 knot and also harbors an extensive tender garage that can shelter two tenders, four jet skis, and diving gear equipment.

The Redesigned 63-metre Superyacht 11.11

When the original owner of Benetti hull FB265 abandoned the project 10 months before completion, a new owner stepped up and remodeled it to his liking.  The 63-metre superyacht “11.11”, named in honor of the owner’s daughter’s birthday as well as referenced as the “master number”, transitioned from an unfinished yacht in the making into a true gem of the sea.   When the current owner purchased 11.11 it was already two-thirds finished, all what was left was the interior design process; where the owner and his design team completely revised the interior layout to perfectly harmonize with both the yacht’s infrastructure and outer presence.

The Redesigned 63-metre Superyacht 11.11

As a result of the transom garage harboring a custom Benetti limo tender, which is the first ever built by Benetti, as well as an RIB in place of a beach club, the yacht’s top deck has become a place of unmitigated relaxation and leisure.  The living spaces throughout 11.11 were designed with a mindset towards comfort; the idea the owner wanted to express was to make 11.11 his home on the water, allowing for his family to enjoy themselves without any worry and relax in luxury.

The Redesigned 63-metre Superyacht 11.11

The art collection aboard has made an excellent addition to the overall atmosphere of 11.11, one such piece is a Tracey Emin neon with the words “Move Me” occupying a spot behind the bar in the upper saloon.  In addition, many other unique pieces are seen throughout the yacht, ranging from works by lighting effects artist Hans Kotter, “prolific” fashion photographer Helmut Newton, and wildlife photographer David Yarrow (who was famous for a method where he coated his camera casing in many scents to draw-in dangerous animals towards his camera lens).

The Redesigned 63-metre Superyacht 11.11

11.11‘s pool was originally intended to be located  forward where a seating area currently resides, though, when the current owner purchased 11.11 he requested it to be closer towards the stern, encircled by sunpads.  The project manager says, “The deck was completely redesigned, destroyed and rebuilt.”  Besides the pool, seating areas were added along with an Italian stone-clad bar and a gym was swapped out for another seating area with kitchenette.  The second spa/pool on 11.11 functions as a private area out of view from the bridge above, making it one of the most peaceful spots on board.  Although, the second spa/pool is located farther forward on the yacht, leaving the area feeling somewhat exposed, it still remains rather sheltered situated forward of the owner’s suite on the upper deck.

The Redesigned 63-metre Superyacht 11.11

The VIP suite is expansive to say the least, featuring a walk-in dressing room, a private study, and six great portrait windows.  As for the rest of the guest accommodations, which includes two twins and two doubles, that can be found on the lower deck extending off a central lobby. Each accommodation features a matching art deco style, along with Italian marble and Lalique taps in the bathrooms.

The Redesigned 63-metre Superyacht 11.11

The 63-metre superyacht runs like a dream with the captain, Vaughan Hill, reporting engine loading at only 65 percent when reaching a cruising speed of 15 knots.  The owner didn’t spend a large amount of time at the yard overseeing the yacht’s development, instead he relied on his design team, only making one inspection close to the completion of 11.11 to check up on the progress, yet it was perfect.
